Essay Revision - Error and Progress Logs. Editable!

This system makes grading easy, and students learn more than with traditional marking and corrections on essay drafts. Use codes to mark errors in grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. This saves time and requires active engagement from the students. They match the codes with the error, then record their revision on a log, one for each type of error they made on the draft. Then they keep a tally of each type of error to mark progress and identify problem areas.

This system has saved me hours of grading time, and my students are learning much more than simply transcribing corrections.

Includes:

Error Codes - Contains 20 of the most common errors, with 20 blank spots for you to add your own. You could also add comments to the log.

Error Log - Students record one example of each type of error that they make, and show the correction.

Progress Log - Students tally the types of errors over several assignments to see their progress and identify problem areas.

Files are in pdf format for easy printing, and a Power Point file so you can edit and add to your liking.
