Know and apply the Remainder Theorem: For a polynomial ๐˜ฑ(๐˜น) and a number ๐˜ข, the remainder on division by ๐˜น โ€“ ๐˜ข is ๐˜ฑ(๐˜ข), so ๐˜ฑ(๐˜ข) = 0 if and only if (๐˜น โ€“ ๐˜ข) is a factor of ๐˜ฑ(๐˜น).
Identify zeros of polynomials when suitable factorizations are available, and use the zeros to construct a rough graph of the function defined by the polynomial.
