Description

90 days same as cash! No interest for 6 months! These deferred interest plans are appealing and quite helpful IF used appropriately. Many students don’t realize that minimum monthly payments are still owed nor do they understand the consequences (namely, interest accruing from the date of purchase) if terms aren’t met. These guided notes explain what deferred interest is, offer tips, and highlight those consequences. Mathematical examples show students how to calculate the interest that would accrue if terms aren’t met, helping them to see that if it seems too good to be true, be sure to follow the terms!

Answer key included. The resources come in pdf form and as PowerPoints, where the key is animated so the answers appear on each click. Appropriate for middle school through high school students.
