Description

Designed for first grade, these fall-themed (Halloween and Thanksgiving) interactive Google Slides will help students practice their addition, subtraction, and counting skills. In addition to drag and drop math activities, there's a little bit of fun science sprinkled in there as well! Building webs with spiders, comparing candy piles, counting apples... these interactive Google Slides are sure to engage first graders.

As an added bonus, Google Slides resources are very flexible for the teacher as you can easily break up and chunk assignments for students. Move around the slides as you wish. Do some as an interactive whiteboard then assign some as review on digital devices. Use them for digital math centers.

They can easily be downloaded as PowerPoints on your desktop and are still interactive.

Here's an overview of the math skills covered:

  • Addition & subtraction slides include finishing the math sentences (using drag and drop numbers) for numbers under 10.

  • Comparison slides include most vs. fewest and the same (equal quantities).

  • Counting slides include counting and adding multiple objects up to 10.

  • Review counting by 2's.

  • Adding on to a jar of 10 acorns (up to 20).
