Description
Functions and Graphs Task Cards are a versatile, fun way to practice and review in the math classroom. I use this particular set of task cards as a review activity to help prepare my students for their cumulative final exam. In this set of task cards students’ work with quadratic functions, square root functions, cubic functions, cubed root functions, absolute value functions, and rational functions. They also determine boundedness of y = sin(x). Problems #37-44 are designed for students to solve using a graphing calculator.
These task cards include the following types of problems:
#1-8: describing function transformations
#9-12: find domain and range
#13-16: find vertical and horizontal asymptotes
#17-20: determine whether a function is odd, even, or neither
#21-24: find the inverse function
#25-28: find composition of functions and state the domain
#29-32: function word problems (% solution, salary, volume of a box, sale price)
#33-36: determine function boundedness
#37-40: use grapher to determine intervals on which the function is increasing
#41-44: find relative maximum and relative minimum using grapher
This product is also available as part of the PreCalculus Activity Pack (10 interactive PreCalculus activities from the Mabel Math TPT store purchased as a bundle at a significant savings!).
