Description

A set of 28 worksheets and a quiz on graphs, designed for fifth grade level. Focuses on tally charts & frequency tables (including cumulative frequency), pictographs, line plots, stem-and-leaf plots, bar graphs, double-bar graphs, line graphs, double-line graphs, histograms, and circle graphs, as well as an introduction to Venn diagrams. Also models using various intervals, with particular emphasis on creating graphs and choosing the appropriate graph for a set of data. Shares many questions with the fourth grade set; however, the fourth grade set does not teach histograms, circle graphs, double-line graphs, or Venn diagrams.

Can be used in tutoring or as a resource with specific students who need more focused practice on the concept. May be used to quickly review concept or help student re-learn it. I recommend using different pages on different days so the student has to move information in and out of memory more.

I created this to use with my tutoring students; if they're having difficulty creating various types of graphs or choosing the best graph for a set of data, these worksheets always give them the practice they need to become successful with them!

Also available:

Graphs for second grade

Graphs for third grade

Graphs for fourth grade
