8th grade Math & Algebra students will feel confident in their ability to Identifying Functions after trying this hands on card sort that will keep them engaged.

Printable PDF and Digital Versions are included in this Google Classroom ready identifying functions lesson, sorting activity, and homework. This distance learning ready activity includes everything you need to teach identifying and representing functions: In Class Notes, Card Sort Activity, & Homework.

What's Included (in both PDF and digital form)

  1. In Class Notes - 2 Pages of notes are included to help teach students how to identify functions from graphs, tables, mapping diagrams, and sets of ordered pairs.
  2. Card Sort Activity - Students will cut out 10 graphs, 4 tables, 4 mapping diagrams, and 6 sets of ordered pairs which will then be glued down on the “Function” or “Not a Function” page.
  3. Homework - This is a 12 question homework intended to give students additional practice on identifying functions from graphs, tables, mapping diagrams, and sets of ordered pairs.

Important Information

  • Answer keys are included for all pages (notes, card sort, & homework).
