Description
This resource is to be used within an informative writing unit. The handout includes step-by-step instructions on how to form a body paragraph. There is scaffolding in place to help set up each of the 3 main body paragraphs. It uses the burger/sandwich analysis to show the buns (topic sentence and closing sentence) holding the paragraph together with tomatoes, lettuce, and burger (supporting sentences) fleshing it out.
The resource can be completed individually, in centers/stations, with a small group, or as a whole group activity.
