Description
This resource is to be used within an informative writing unit. The Google Slides is completely editable. The slides include the following headings: What is it?, acrostic, research, text features, organization, and facts vs. opinions.
There is an introduction activity as well. It is to use mentor texts to record observations. The recording sheet includes "I notice..." and "I wonder.." sections for students to record their thoughts. It is similar to the K and W in KWL charts. This activity can be done as an individual, partners, small group, or whole group. The link to the recording sheet can be found here.
