I like to use this as an alternative to my physical mock crime scene investigation. I use it for students who are absent and I used it when we were doing hybrid learning during Covid. It covers sketching the scene, collecting and processing evidence, and looking at suspect motive and alibis.

I did a forensic unit with my 8th grade and used this as a final quiz activity. They really enjoyed using all their "skills" to solve the crime. I will use again!
