Description

Teaching waiting and patience can be difficult. Learning to wait for what we want is difficult and sometimes harder to teach. Systematically teach appropriate waiting behaviors through social stories, behavior skills instruction, communication, and visual supports.

Learning to wait is an essential skill for self-management and self-awareness skill and aligns with CASEL's core competencies of social emotional learning.
