Are you a first grade teacher? Would you love a March-Themed Math Activity or a St. Patrick's Day Math Craft that is rigorous, but fun + cute? Here's a 1st Grade Word Problems Math Craft activity your students will love.

❤️And you'll love it because they'll be getting word problems practice in a FUN way, while also working on those fine motor skills.

Students will solve the March themed word problems in order to build a fun LEPRECHAUN!

Also Available:

2nd Grade version

3rd Grade version

4th Grade version

Once students have solved the word problems, they will find the answers on the LEPRECHAUN pieces sheet. Once they've solved all word problems and have found all the answers on the LEPRECHAUN pieces sheet...they will then be able to cut out the pieces, color, and build their LEPRECHAUN.

The six word problems cover:

  • addition within 20
  • subtraction within 20
