Description

Would you love a March-Themed Math Activity or a St. Patrick's Day Math Craft that is rigorous, but fun + cute? Here's a 3rd Grade Word Problems Math Craft activity your students will love.

Students will solve the March themed word problems in order to build a fun LEPRECHAUN!

Also Available:

1st Grade version

2nd Grade version

4th Grade version

Once students have solved the word problems, they will find the answers on the LEPRECHAUN pieces sheet. Once they've solved all word problems and have found all the answers on the LEPRECHAUN pieces sheet...they will then be able to cut out the pieces, color, and build their LEPRECHAUN.

This set includes two differentiated options:

Level 1:

These six word problems are a bit simpler and include:

  • addition and subtraction within 1,000
  • basic multiplication and division
  • two-step word problem

Level 2:

These six word problems are a bit more complex and include:

  • addition and subtraction within 1,000
  • basic multiplication and division
  • three-step word problem

We have been working on word problems, and this was a fun way to incorporate St. Patrick's Day into what we have been practicing. I appreciated that this resource offers differentiation, it makes it easier for me and my students can feel like they are successful because the outcome will look the same as their peers.
