About the store
Teaching is a passion of mine; so is learning! To that end I endeavor to create products that help students have fun learning! I began teaching younger children in my neighborhood when I was twelve and I've been teaching ever since. My official classroom experience began when I taught 5th grade for 4 years. After changing school, I taught 2nd grade for 5 years. Following that, I spent a year and a half as a curriculum coordinator. My roles changed once again when I was needed as a K-12 math and reading specialist for my school. I enjoyed helping students stay on grade level so they could graduate to the next grade level. That experience was followed by a year of teaching 6th grade math and literature. Now I get to homeschool my own children! An old proverb states: “The goal of the teacher is for the student to surpass the teacher.” That is my hope for all those I have taught.

Teaching style
I would classify myself as strict, but fun! I enjoy watching my students "light up" as they find out something new or understand a concept they have struggled to grasp. While education is important, relationships with my students and between my students are priority. To help me relate to my students and make learning fun at the same time, I believe it is important to use games, activities, and lap books to promote learning and retention of learning.
