Description
Multiple Meaning Words Task Cards. 12 cards with challenging text featuring dictionary entries and multiple-meaning words. Questions require students to engage in determining word meanings, supporting meanings with context, and determining which clues best support the meaning. Questions are aligned with CCSS, TEKS, and STAAR.
Use these multiple choice task cards to reinforce common multiple meaning words (homographs and words with multiple meanings). Each of the featured words appears on two cards. For example, the word "pitcher" appears on a card as a baseball player and again on a card as something to pour water. Not only will this help to solidify the words and their meanings, it may also help some students to use context clues to understand word meanings.
This is the 6th set of context clues task cards. It is focused on multiple meaning words.
