This is a comprehensive unit complete with 10 video lessons, a digital student journal, and a reflection activity. Perfect for remote learning, maternity leave, or flipped classrooms. Designed to last roughly 3 weeks, this unit will guide students through the writing process from start to finish. Some of the lessons include: "Writing with sensory details", "Including meaningful dialogue", and "Show don't tell your feelings." With this product you will receive the following:
* 10 video lessons--(1 unit overview, 2-prewriting lessons, 6-drafting lessons, 1-revision lesson, 1-formatting final copy lesson) The videos are youtube links and housed on a google site. You will also receive individual links to the videos to assign them separately, if you prefer.
* A digital student journal (18 slide google slide deck) complete with learning slides filled with reminders and information from the video lessons and working slides for students to complete the activities described in the video lessons.
* Editable Teaching Presentation (59 slide google slide deck) This presentation will match most of the slides in the video lessons. You will be able to edit them to include your own examples or additional guidelines for your students.
* A reflection activity (google doc) for students to complete at the conclusion of the unit.
* A Sample Pacing Guide for how to break the lessons up for the next 3 weeks of instruction.
