This activity will have your students excited about calculating perimeter. Students can work alone or in pairs to calculate the perimeter of 4 different vegetable gardens of varying difficulty. The group that correctly completes all 4 gardens first wins! Pairs that finish quickly can create their own garden using a blank template. This activity reinforces the 3rd grade common core perimeter standard (listed below).
