⚡ IDENTIFY THE PLACE VALUE MATCHING GAME ⚡
This low-prep place value matching activity to practice and assess place value mastery! Players must be able to identify and match the place value of each digit based on the description on the card. The place value clues are presented in different formats (word description and images) to check student understanding.
What You Get:
✅ Matching Game with 24 game cards - half with three-digit numbers described in with numbers and graphics/ the other half with matching numbers - color and black and white versions
✅ Three different recording sheets:
▶️ Sheet #1: -use to record the correct letter and the actual answer
▶️ Sheet #2 (dotted border): students answer without using the matching number answer cards. (great for small group instruction)
▶️ Sheet #3 is for students to show their strategies and they identified the number using the clues for a specific card
⭐"Magic Place Value Chart" for introducing the activity (can also be used by students as a reference tool) This is a helpful visual resource for students to expand the numbers as they add the digits to find the targeted number.
⭐ Blank "Magic Place Value Charts" - can be used for modeling or student practice (3 digits & 4 digits)

This one game set is low-prep and ready to go! The object of the game is to create the number with the largest place value by solving a mix of addition, subtraction, and multiplication directions on the game cards. Everything is provided, including options for differentiating the game.
Editable options are also provided for customizing: playing cards, starter cards, and directions/materials sheets.
Tips and materials included. All you need is a pair of dice for each pair or small group of students (2 to four players)!
