Description

The Quadratic Applications notes are a double-sided notes page used to teach quadratic applications. There are two examples with 5 to 6 questions each.

The first example gives the student a graph of a quadratic application situation and asks the student questions such as "How long is the ball in the air?", "What is the maximum height achieved by the ball?" and "What is the domain/range of this situation?".

The second example asks the same questions, but gives the student an equation instead. They use their graphing calculator to fill in a table of values and create a graph and then answer the questions. Key included

The accompanying one-sided practice page contains 3 questions over quadratic applications. The student is given a quadratic application that represents a real-life situation. They graph the equation on their graphing calculator, adjust the window and answer the questions.

The questions ask for maximum height achieved, length of flight, height at specific time values, domain and range of the situation, etc. Key included for all pages.
