Description
Here is a great game to get the entire class up and moving while practicing their addition facts or use individually to help a student brush up on addition facts.
To Play: 1. Divide the students into teams. 2. Have students form lines in front of the main game piece. several feet away from the board. 3. Give the white board maker to the first student in each line. 4. Give the command to “Go” 5. The first student races for the board and complete one on the addition problems around the main game piece (moon, basketball hoop, snow monsters, or donut-four themes provided to mix things up during the school year) 6. The student can pick any problem to do but will only complete one. 7. Student will then return to line and hand maker to next student in line to repeat same procedure until all addition facts have been completed by the team. 8. First team done with all the right answers wins. 9, Repeat game with a different addition fact in the center of the main game piece. Set Up: 1. Tape the main game pieces (one for each team) to the white board (remember to have it low enough so that all students can reach it to write around it) 2. Place one of the addition fact pieces to the center of the main game piece (example on cover page of monster game).
