☛ Solve a riddle a day together for math spiral review, to integrate new learning with previous topics.
☛ Use a riddle as a warm-up or number talk before your math lesson.
☛ Expand your calendar activities by solving one or more riddles each day. Your students will love to check off the numbers on a 120 chart as riddles are completed!
☛ Solving riddles like these is a lot like solving word problems. Both are great ways to model and practice early comprehension skills like identifying key details, making inference, and drawing conclusions. Show your students how those skills apply in both math and reading, building success in both areas!
