Share

Description

This is a fun and energetic way to practice rates and unit rates. Students can get exercise while doing math practice.

Before completing this activity with your students, make sure that you have the following materials: stop watches, one jump rope for each 3 person group, cones, and copies of directions/recording sheets. Students can use their cell phones as stop watches if permitted. Cones may also be replaced with chairs, as they can be used to mark the start and finish lines.

This activity must be done outside as well, so make sure that the weather permits your class to be outside.
