Second Grade Math Journal Volume 7
A math journal provides a record of learning all through the school year. Students can do it as a station or as independent practice. Used as a math station, it has accountability and evaluation built right in. The activities are short enough for students to do within their math centers time, and provide skill practice on current and spiral review skills.
Volume 7 has an emphasis on coins/money, but also spiral reviews many other skills.

These journals are the perfect compliment to the guided math series for second grade. I use them as an independent center choice during rotations.
Students can do these activities independently during math stations, or you can do this whole group in more of a teaching format. If your math block has small group, some of these would make great small group lessons for students that need more practice or more visuals with a concept.
