Description
This worksheet is accompanied by a letter to parents, telling them about the strategy I teach their students to use during double digit subtraction. This is a strategy that ultimately can be done mentally. We call it, "Take Away 10's, then 1's." So, for example, in 50-28, we say 50-20=30, then 30-8=22.

Learning different strategies is often confusing for my second graders. This is very helpful.
A nice supplemental tool for my classroom and instruction.
