I copy and create a booklet for each student that they need to fill in as we cover each section. It also could be a great study guide for a solving quadratics unit. It covers the following topics:

-looking at a parabola, identify the vertex, axis of symmetry, max/min, concave up/down, y-intercepts, and x-intercepts
-standard form, vertex form, factored form (students need to give an example and explain why this is useful)
-reviewed steps for factoring a quadratic expression
-solving quadratics checklist and some practice problems
-finding the discriminant and determining how many solutions
-pythagorean theorem (students can practice solving by square root method)
-blank page for students to write down any other information they may need
