Description

Get your students excited for Math class with this fun Solving 2-Step Equations Roll and Connect Game! It makes a great math center or an engaging way to practice solving equations with your whole class. Students compete in pairs and try to cover 5 squares in a row with a counter or chip of their color. They will love blocking each other and trying to be the first to get 5 in a row!

To play the game, students take turns rolling two dice and solving the equations in the corresponding box. They use a chip or a counter to cover one of the answer squares. Since some numbers have a higher probability of being rolled, the answers to those equations are repeated more frequently on the game board. You could also have students color the squares with their color.

Each game sheet increases in difficulty, which will make differentiating to your different levels of learners a breeze!

•Sheet A: Whole Numbers

•Sheet B: Integers (positive and negative)

•Sheet C: Positive Fractions and Decimals

Solve word problems leading to equations of the form 𝘱𝘹 + 𝘲 = 𝘳 and 𝘱(𝘹 + 𝘲) = 𝘳, where 𝘱, 𝘲, and 𝘳 are specific rational numbers. Solve equations of these forms fluently. Compare an algebraic solution to an arithmetic solution, identifying the sequence of the operations used in each approach. For example, the perimeter of a rectangle is 54 cm. Its length is 6 cm. What is its width?
Solve linear equations in one variable.
