Description
The weather is turning warmer, the sun is coming out more often, and the snow is melting! Spring is on the way! Hooray! Celebrate in your speech room by playing this great "spring" bingo game. You can talk about all things spring with your students and have them describe the objects and activities associated with this fun and festive holiday. This Spring Describing Bingo game can be played two different ways: Bingo or a matching/memory game. Your students can work on learning the different vocabulary found during Spring (e.g. wheelbarrow, umbrella, trowel, rain poncho, mushroom,etc.). For the Bingo game, have your student select one of the calling cards and describe it to the other students. There are numerous cards that look similar, so the "describer" has to be very specific. Is the girl under the umbrella wearing a rain poncho or being followed by butterflies? Which butterfly are you looking at? Is it the one holding a strawberry, or is it in a jar? See if their description has enough information to determine which picture the describer has. As another game, you can print out doubles of the calling cards and play memory, go-fish, etc.

This is a cute spring bingo game (the name says it all). The pictures range in varying difficulty to describe which is great for groups with varying abilities. That way kids with various descriptive and/or comprehension abilities can play together.
I generally use this to monitor articulation and fluency carryover as well as with my language kiddos! Thanks for the feedback!
Great, thank you!
This is a great product that I was able to use with multiple groups. I work with students with hearing loss and this was a great opportunity for them to practice providing descriptions and also learning that details matter! It also gave them an opportunity to practice their listening skills as other kids gave descriptions.
Thank you for the awesome feedback! What a great idea!
