This resource contains 45 full color slides that focus on teaching students how to use standard algorithm to add and subtract. The preview ask students what is regrouping in math. This leads into the interactive learning part of the lesson. Several of the slides are great visual aids to help differentiate instruction for all learners through modeling, chunking and repetition. There is a process at the end of the lesson for students to practice independently. This process can be used as an exit ticket to see what the students have learned. There is also an addition and subtraction word problem. Be creative and do what works best for you and your students.
