Thanksgiving MULTIPLICATION CRAFT

This is the time of year when third graders are usually practicing their new-found multiplication skills, and this Thanksgiving math craftivity provides an engaging, holiday-themed way for them to demonstrate their strategies!

Students will record multiplication strategies (repeated addition, skip counting, arrays, equal groups, fact families) on turkey feathers, then cut & assemble turkeys. Alternatively, kids can create books, with a different turkey/product on each page. Turkeys are pre-labeled with products (12, 18, 20, 24, 28, 30, 32, and 40, making it easy to differentiate) and a blank turkey is also included.

For a quick pre-Thanksgiving activity, provide a page for each student, based on their level of multiplication proficiency. They can record strategies right on the page, color, and take home. These would also work well in math center rotations, together with the printables in this bundle.
