Topic sentence practice and activity packet was designed for extra practice. Use this print and go packet when you have already discussed/taught topic sentences, to review before tests, or as an informal assessment of your students.

What's Inside

⭐ A single page printable with a review of what a topic sentence is and how to write one with three samples.

⭐ Worksheets/activities for practicing how to identify and write strong topic sentences. The worksheets are find the topic sentence, write the topic sentence from a prompt, topic sentence strips, and write the missing topic sentence.

⭐ An answer key in PDF document.

Digital Access

⭐ Easel by TpT- Topic Sentence Practice and activities is ready to use on EASEL by TpT. The format of the product is a little different than the print out so that students can be answer questions and participate in the lesson. There are text boxes for students to type in and moveable shapes to circle answers. This will be sure to keep all students engaged and accountable in the lesson. You can check each student’s responses just like a worksheet.

⭐ Google- Digital link for a Google Doc is found on page 2 of the resource. The google doc is the same as the worksheets. They are not editable.
