The learning log or math journal station provides students with a personal record of math learning throughout the year in an interactive notebook journal. This learning log has 15 entries for measurement in first grade. Students apply skills while creating and communicating math understanding. The learning log is part of a well-rounded math experience. The math journal is a terrific way for students to work mathematically while also strengthening fine motor and organizational skills. Each Total Math lesson has a learning log math station entry, but these can also be used with any math program because they are standards-aligned. All entries have answer keys.
