Description

UPDATED 6/8/18 - Now includes four scavenger hunt worksheets!

Interactive notes, worksheets, activities and assessments for teaching or reviewing transformations, including translations, reflections, rotations, and dilations!

This bundle includes:

·4 pages of interactive notes, which students can cut and paste into notebooks

·4 half-sheet practice pages

·4 exit slips - one for each type of transformation

·4 partner practice half-worksheets

·4 scavenger hunt practice worksheets

·1 stations activity for practicing all four types of transformations

Product descriptions:

1. Interactive Notes Pages - students can cut these out and glue them into their notebooks.

2. Partner Practice Activity - This activity consists of four partner worksheets. Each worksheet has a problem set A and B.

Students graph two images and pre-images for the four types of tranformations - translations, rotations, reflections, and dilations.

Once complete, students partner up and compare graphs. Even though they had a different pre-image, their images (and corresponding points) should be in the same location.

3. Stations Activity - In this fun activity, students roll dice, flip coins, and spin spinners to determine the change in (x,y) for translations, rotations, reflections, and dilations. There are six stations, each with two "pre-image" task cards. Students roll, flip or spin to determine the change in (x,y) and record their results, calculate or determine the image points, then draw and label both the pre-image and the image on their recording sheets.

The notes portion of this research is excellent, and the bundle also contains a couple of fun activities that students enjoy for practice. I do think the one element is missing is raw practice of each type of transformation.
