This is my 22nd year of teaching 7th grade math. I have a masters in Curriculum and Instruction and a masters in Educational Leadership. I also have an endorsement in Special Education. I am a member of NCTM and ASCD.
Included in this set is 3 half sheets of interactive notes and 3 half-sheet pages of practice that can be used to teach or review area of parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids.
Each half-page of notes consists of vocabulary, the formula, a section where students label the base(s) and height of shapes, and 3-4 practice problems.
Each half-page of practice consists of 4 practice problems and 2 word problems.
Other than a couple of decimals, the lengths are mostly whole numbers. There ar
***UPDATED*** This product now includes an exit slip for each type of transformation. See preview for more details. This set includes four pages of interactive notes and practice for each of the following transformations: translations, reflections, rotations and dilations. They can be used to introduce transformations or as a review. Once notes are completed, students can cut them out and glue them into their notebooks. The practice cards at the bottom of the pages can be cut out and assigned
This fun coloring activity can be used to review or practice how to calculate the area of parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids.
Included in this set:
1. Sixteen problems in which students calculate the area.
2. A coloring page - students match the correct answer with a color.
3. A complete answer key with formulas, solutions and the final colored product.
There are only five possible answers, which make it easy for students to check their work!
NOTE: The lengths and solutions are wh
In this activity 32 task cards are placed on every desk in the room. Students move around, writing and solving the inequalities on the cards. Once solved, students find the graph of the solutions on their recording sheet.
Each task card has a simple picture in the corner. Students draw the picture next to the corresponding graph of the solutions.
This is a great way to get students moving in the classroom! They also enjoy drawing the cute pictures!
Answer key included!

UPDATED on 12/1/17: This resource now includes an activity and an exit slip! This is such a great way to get students discussing mathematics! Students look at the work completed for seven two-step or multi-step equations and try to find the errors made. They describe the errors, then solve the equations to find the correct solutions. Some problems have more than one error. These equations do NOT include variables on both sides. Included in this resource: 1) A double sided error analysis wor
Now includes Google Slides version for distance learning!Guide students through the challenge of estimating radicals to the nearest tenth. This product contains two interactive notes pages and a worksheet, helping students learn to approximate square roots to the nearest tenth. Also included is a page of graphic organizers that students can use to help them with future problems. Students complete the guided notes page and the practice problems, then cut and paste them into their notebooks.
Included in this set: - 2 pages of guided notes - 3 pages of practice - An additional page, which can be either notes or practice Students explore the parts of a proportional relationship, and learn how to represent a proportional relationship as a table, a graph, and an equation. Students first complete two pages of guided notes, then glue them into their notebooks. Three pages of worksheets give students the opportunity to represent 6 different proportional relationships as tables, graphs
Four practice worksheets are included in this set, which can be used to practice or review working with scale drawings. They cover the following Common Core Standard (7.G.A.1):
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.7.G.A.1
Solve problems involving scale drawings of geometric figures, including computing actual lengths and areas from a scale drawing and reproducing a scale drawing at a different scale.
**Updated 7/31/16** Now includes a 2-page assessment!
The worksheets are divided into the following concepts (4
A fun twist on a practice worksheet! Students solve and graph an inequality. Then they find the matching graph, which is to the next inequality to solve. They continue until they complete the worksheet!
These worksheets can be used as in-class practice, homework, or formative assessments.
TWO worksheets are included in this set:
1) Solving and graphing one step inequalities (addition and subtraction)
2) Solving and graphing one step inequalities (multiplication and division)

This fun coloring activity can be used to review or practice how to set up and solve equations to find a missing value, using pairs complementary, supplementary, vertical, or adjacent angles.
Included in this set:
1. Sixteen problems in which students set up an equation and solve for a missing variable.
2. A coloring page - students match the correct answer with a color.
3. A complete answer key with equations, solutions and the final colored product.
NOTE: The equations in this lesson ar
This lesson includes four pages of interactive notes, a double-sided worksheet for extra practice, and an assessment.
The notes include the following:
Page 1 and 2 - Guided practice finding the circumference and area when given the diameter or radius.
Page 3 and 4 - Guided notes and practice finding a missing radius or diameter when given the circumference or area.
The worksheet has 8 problems practicing the above concepts and 4 enrichment/extension word problems.

This bundle includes interactive notes, practice worksheets, a task card activity and assessments. It is designed to teach or review the following standard:
7.G.A.1 - Solve problems involving scale drawings of geometric figures, including computing actual lengths and areas from a scale drawing and reproducing a scale drawing at a different scale.
The standard is broken down into these four concepts:
1. Computing actual lengths from a scale drawing
2. Determining the scale factor when given a
This fun coloring activity can be used to review or practice addition and subtraction of mixed numbers with unlike denominators. Most of the subtraction problems require students to borrow.
Student solve nine addition or subtraction problems, simplifying each answer. They then match the solutions to the given color for each problem.
Answer key included!
Now includes a Google Slides version for distance learning! This activity consists of 32 task cards with the following types of rational numbers: 8 positive and negative fractions 8 positive and negative decimals 8 positive and negative improper fractions 8 mixed review cards (repeating decimals, unsimplified fractions, etc). The recording sheet has 4 number lines (with a picture in the corner). The task cards also have pictures in the corner, so students know which number line they should be
This activity consists of 20 task cards and a recording sheet. Students compute unit rates associated with ratios of fractions. Students can work independently or with partners, moving around the room while solving the problems.
This activity can be good practice for students who struggle with how to set up the problem. Each situation has two unit rate questions. For example, if the problem involves miles and minutes, one task card asks for min/mi. and another will ask for mi/min.

***UPDATED 2/29/16*** Four half-sheet exit slips are now included! These can be used for extra practice, homework, or as assessments.
This set includes 8 pages of interactive notes and practice pages for teaching or reviewing the following:
Computing actual lengths from a scale drawing
Determining the scale factor when given a scale drawing
Calculating the areas of scale drawings
Reproducing a scale drawing at a different scale

Now includes a Google Slides version for distance learning! This activity consists of 32 task cards with irrational numbers. Students move around, while practicing locating them on a number line. The cards are available in color or black and white. The number line recording sheet has boxes, where students write the irrational number in the correct approximate location. More detailed directions and helpful hints are included. Answer key is included as well. This is a great activity to get s
