Description

Two-step equations practice is a bit more engaging when there's color involved!

  • Students solve 15 or 20 two-step equations, self-check, AND color, in all versions.
  • These easy-prep, print and digital color by number activities are perfect for centers, homework, fast finishers, sub days and more!

Check out the video Preview above to see how the Slides version works (students will need to know how to use the "Fill color" feature). *note: 2 print versions have been added since the video preview was made

Problems require students to:

1) Solve two-step equations with whole numbers, using all operations (some answers are negative)

2) Solve two-step equations with decimals

  • In Versions A & B, 2 questions have decimals in the problems and 3 have decimals as the answer
  • In Version C, 1 question has a decimal in the problem and 2 have decimals as the answer

In this two-step equations resource you get:

1) 3 print versions

Print Version A

  • Problem sheet with 20 questions
  • Coloring sheet

Print Version B

  • SAME 20 problems as Version A
  • Coloring sheet: different pattern and colors than Version A (less detailed pattern)

Print Version C

  • Problem sheet with 15 questions (different questions than Version A/B)
  • Coloring sheet: same pattern as Version B, different colors

2) Digital version

  • Same problems and mostly same pattern/colors as print Version A
  • Students type their answers in the answer box on the Google Slide
  • Students use the ‘Fill color’ bucket to color the shapes
  • Questions are not editable (they are in the background) but the shapes and numbers in the pattern ARE movable.

3) Keys

4) Two coloring pages with no numbers, so students can color the pattern their own way, for fun:-)
