What’s the Point is a number routine that exercises students’ number sense, estimation skills, and reasonability. The student(s) is presented with a closed number line with two given endpoints. On the number line, a non-labeled point is plotted. It is up to students to reason what that point may be using number sense, estimation, and reasonability and explain how/why they believe their answer to be true.
