Description

Students love excitement and surprise! Gamify your oral language discussions or writing prompts with these 24 NO-PREP Who Would Win questions with built-in Randomizer Spinner. Use these varied and fun ideas for ice breakers, writing prompts, discussions, debate skills, practice at reasoning skills or giving justifications, getting to know you activities, or when your students need a fun break. This is so much more fun than giving the students a pre-chosen Who Would Win Question or prompt to respond to.

Simply project the PowerPoint and click on the built-in spinner to select a random Who Would Win question. Give students genuine reasons to use their discussion, reasoning, and debate skills.

What's Included:

  • 24 Who Would Win Slides (each with a Home button to return to spinner)
  • Spinner/Randomizer Slide to add surprise/excitement
  • NO PREP or equipment required - just click to play
  • Simple, short question on each slide (no pages and pages of text to read!)
  • Varied topics
  • Fun questions
  • Everything you need built-in - a complete interactive slideshow

You can use these Who Would Win prompts:

  • As oral language / English practice
  • To introduce debate skills
  • To reinforce reasoning / justifying opinions
  • To practice defending an argument and supporting a claim
  • As writing prompts
  • As topics for PEEL paragraphs or persuasive writing
  • To encourage tangential thinking and fluency of thought
  • As energizers and mixers
  • As brain breaks
  • During transitions
  • For ESL / EAL/ ELL learners
  • As speech practice
  • Just for fun!

These Who Would Win questions give students something non-threatening to talk about and are a great way for students to connect with each other. You can even use them with adults to add a bit of humor and fun during meetings!

There is never one 'right' answer, so they provide questions for discussion and opinion writing.

This PowerPoint can be used online or in-person. It is suitable for any age group.

IMPORTANT:

***You will need to have PowerPoint, because the spinner does not work on Google Slides*** Make sure you switch to 'present' mode (slideshow) so you can click the play/pause button on the spinner.
