Topics include: what is the digestive system, functions of the digestive system, layers of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract including mucosa, submucosa, muscularis and serosa, GI tract organs including the mouth, epiglottis, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, anus, as well as accessory organs including teeth, tongue, salivary glands, liver, gall bladder, and pancreas.
