I have over 25 years of classroom teaching experience in grades PreK through 2nd grade. In addition, I have over 10 years experience as an Early Childhood Specialist in the field of curriculum and professional development with a large urban school district which involved curriculum development and writing, as well as district-wide teacher/administrator training. I have presented at local, regional, state and national conferences on such topics as Music and Movement, Thematic Planning and Teaching, Attention Deficit Disorder, Brain Based Instruction, Storytelling, Science and Math Concepts in Early Childhood, and Balanced Approach to Reading, to name just a few.

Teaching style
I believe in active learning which includes the use of music and movement and learning through play. I have fun while accomplishing our learning goals! Worksheets are not our friends!
