About the store
I’ve been teaching agricultural education in Oklahoma since 2013, working with 7th–12th grade students from a wide variety of backgrounds. My teaching journey began in a rural 5A school district with a strong tradition of excellence, then led me to a growing suburban program near Oklahoma City, and now to a 6A school in northeast Oklahoma, where I’ve been since 2020. I have taught Ag Explorations (7th/8th grade); Introduction to Agriculture (9th grade); Agricultural Leadership; Agricultural Communications; Agriscience II; and Introduction to Horticulture. My passion is creating engaging, hands-on lessons that make agriculture relevant for all students, not just those from production ag backgrounds. Over the years, my students have earned recognition at both the state and national levels in FFA, including National Chapter Awards, proficiency awards, SAE grants, public speaking, CDEs, and LDEs. The lessons and resources I share here on TPT are classroom-tested, student-approved, and designed to save you time while keeping your students engaged and learning.

Teaching style

My teaching style has evolved since I started! As a new teacher, I was heavy on teacher led discussions and lectures with guided notes, and I did mostly traditional tests for learning assessments. Now, I am more prone to do group activities, inquiry-based learning, group projects, and student led discussions. As an agricultural education teacher, I rely heavily on independent study when working with my older students in the program.
