I have been a Kindergarten teacher for nearly 20 years and I love my job! Not only do the kids come to school with a big smile on their face, I do too!
I use CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) picture cards all the time in my classroom! These picture cards are a great way to introduce spelling to students. Each picture consists of a 3-letter word (i.e. c-a-t) so it's easy for students to stretch out and decode the word. You can use these at a pocket chart center, with magnetic letters, or work with a small Guided Reading group. So many uses for these fun cards!
