I have been teaching for 15 years. Love it more every year!
I start each school year as a new journey. I have very few things that I do exactly the same each year because I am always searching for fun, new ways to present the curriculum. I love being a teacher and can't imagine doing anything else!
Recently, I was "Tagged by the Superintendent" for being an exemplary teacher in my building. I have been nominated for teacher of the year three times.
I have a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Early Childhood.
I was born and raised in Virginia Beach and so was my husband. His job with the FBI took us to New Orleans for seven years, where my children really "grew up". We survived Hurricane Katrina and were lucky enough to get back home to Virginia Beach in a relatively short amount of time.
