TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade ELA, Reading Improvement, and 7th-grade Pre-AP ELA. I have taught for 8 years and have a master's degree in literacy. I am now serving as one of my district's secondary ELA strategists and am an Apple Teacher.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love making learning fun, competitive, and memorable.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have the honor of meeting and getting to know dozens of fantastic kids every school year.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Journalism degree from University of Houston; ELAR certification from A+ Texas Teachers; Master's degree in curriculum & instruction/literacy from UTA Reading Specialist and Master Reading Teacher certification

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I put a lot of thought into the products I create for school and for TPT. I have a background in newspaper design, so I work hard to make worksheets and printables pleasing to the eye and reader-friendly. I print out all of my products before submitting them, and if something doesn't look right, I work on it until it does. Little by little, I am learning the technical side of using TPT, and I truly hope that my products are helpful and useful to someone, somewhere. Thank you so much for looking at my store!
