I used these cards in my kindergarten class during center time. Students can match the animal and it's footprints. You can also make a reference book out of the cards.

This is a script for a simple May Crowning Liturgy. It includes prayers, a gospel reading and petitions. It also includes links to songs. The language in this liturgy is easy to read, as I had my primary class lead the school in this liturgy.

This 5 day unit is fill with many great hands-on, whole class and small group activities all based on the theme of friendship. Learning center ideas are listed, differentiated instruction suggestions are made, assessment strategies are included and the unit directly connects to the Ontario curriculum. My class LOVED this unit!!

This project-based learning opportunity allows students to create a bullying awareness campaign to present to younger grades. This package includes everything you need: resources for teachers, prior learning suggestions, ways to accommodate various types of learners, a detailed and structured assignment layout, multiple assessments (self assessment, group assessment, rubric, descriptive feedback sheet) etc. Students love this project and really take away a lot from it!

This 7 page booklet requires students to read a short passage to identify the location of the person using inferencing skills. They are asked to name where the person is and to highlight the clues that lead them to that conclusions. Students can complete this independently at a literacy center or it can be completed as bell work or homework activities.

This inferencing booklet provides students with 7 quick activities that students can complete independently! Students are required to make inferences based on images. They are asked to highlight the visual cues that lead them to make their inferences. I used this as bell work one year and sent it home as homework another. It can also be used at a literacy center.

This 7 page booklet has students counting and representing different amounts of money up to $1.25. The booklet includes all coins (toonie-penny). Each question is quick and can be done independently by students. This can be used for a math center, homework book or as bell work.

This project is a great way for students to learned about the Metis, Inuit and First Nations Communities. It is perfect for the new curriculumn! It's currently set up as a google slide project, but can easily be edited to take on another format. It comes with success criteria, an assessment checklist and a peer contribution reflection (should you choose to have your students complete it as a partner or group project). This 7 page booklet allows students to practice identifying and creating persausive arguments. Some of the pages require them to read a few sentences about a topic and locate the persausive arguments, while others require them to add their own persausive arguments. Finally, the last page allows them to create their own ideas and arguments. This is great practice for students!

This booklet is a great way to have students practice making text-to-self connections. Each page has a short passage and students are to think of a way to connect to what is written. Students can easily connect to the feelings or events in each situation as they are relatable. They must make a personal connection and directly link it to the text. This is a great practice booklet for language centers or it can be send home as a homework booklet.

In this 7 page booklet, students are required to use their schemas and read the clues to determine what is inside the box. Each page has a different set of clues for which they need to make their inference. Students also need to explain how they got their answer (what clues they used and how it connected to what they already know). Students view this as a game and love the activity!

This is a very simple break-down of the three levels of government in Canada. It is editable (so you can input your city name). For each level of government, students can fill in the leader and examples of what that government is responsible for. I usually accompany this lesson by showing pictures of our leaders and visiting the Canadian government website to identify government responsibilities.

This booklet reviews long vowel sounds, focusing on common letter combinations aka letter buddies. (eg. long a: ai words, ay word and a_e words). Each vowel sound has it's own page and students are to complete a related word work activity. The final two pages review all the long vowel sounds. This booklet is great to for literacy center or can be sent home for extra review.

This worksheet is perfect for grade 2 social studies. It asks students to define climate and identify basic human needs. It can lead to a great discussion how basic needs are influenced by a communities climate.

This booklet starts by having students identify information they already know about bees. Each page then builds on their schemas by adding new non-fiction facts about bees. Each page has an area of focus and requires students to answer a question based in their reading. The questioning encourages them to really think about what they have read and learned. I use this booklet when teaching non-fiction as well as during my informational text units.

This booklet provides students with serveral scenarios in which they must determine the probability of the outcome using a scale (impossible---unlikely---likely---certain). The final two pages requires them to create their own senerio based on a designated probable outcome. The booklet can be used at a math center or sent home for homework.

This booklet is designed to get primary students to use higher order thinking strategies for problem solving. The booklet offers several relatable problems for which students must write two solutions. The last page requires them to create their own social problem and to generate a create solution to that problem. This booklet can spark great class discussions. It can be used for critical thinking, writing or social/life skills development.

This booklet provides students with 7 different addition word problems. The questions do not require regrouping, but the numbers could always be changed if regrouping practice is required. Students are to show their work in pictures, numbers or words. This can be used for group work, indpendent work or can be sent home to support learning at school.
