Having opportunities to identify as a "helper" can increase a child's sense of well-being and self-esteem. Some of our kiddos with auditory processing, impulsivity, distractability, or language differences can find focus on multi-stepped, clean-up tasks challenging. You can breakdown the task andincrease the ability of ALL your children to participate by using this template to create your own step-by-step visuals. Laminate, add velcro and your own classroom photos, and watch your children gain

These fish can be used in many ways to teach, assess and enforce skills. The students can use them for letter identification, matching upper and lowercase letters, letter sound recognition and many more. They can also be used to put in abc order, or have a child pick a fish and have them say a word that begins or ends with that letter.
If you would like to personalize them to one specific child you can use the letters of his or her name and have them put them in order and remind them to use

This is a behavior chart that can be used daily. I use it for my students that have behavior issues. I go over it each day with the child and they help fill it out themselves. This is an easy way for them to monitor their progress. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License.
This includes four pictures going from egg to baby chicken, paired with numbers 1-4. Works well Pre-K thru K, or children in Special Education classrooms working on these skills. I recommend cutting out squares, laminating and adding velcro. Can be laid out on a table or as a file folder activity for repetitive use.
There is a student with severe behavioral issues on my caseload who also requires visuals. This version of a check-in/check-out sheet really works for him because he can earn points even if he messes up a little bit, and he can see what comes next in his day. They are easy to write on if changes to the schedule happen. Suggestion: Laminate to use day to day with a dry-erase marker.

This is also a preschool classroom, if I had older students I would have them color their own day. This calendar does have the common days off s
