This is a fun way to work on learning fractions while baking and cooking. By limiting the measuring cups available to students, they have to add and/or multiply fractions to achieve the target measurement. For example, give a child a quarter cup measuring cup (1/4 cup) and ask them to figure out how many scoops they would need to make a half cup (1/2 cup), three quarters cup (3/4 cup) or a full cup (1 cup) as needed based on ingredient quantities.
