Waterslide Fun!
This is a STEM project (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). Design Teams will create a waterslide out of clay that contains 90 degree angle turns. A marble must roll down the slide and stay on the track the entire way. The height will be measured in cm. The tallest slide with the most turns wins!

Year Long Student Height Book- Measurement
This is a year long project that I used with first, second, and third graders in my Montessori classroom. The first day students are measured on a height chart that I have on the wall. Do your kids need practice solving perimeter of irregular shaped polygons? Students solve the perimeter for shapes made up of several rectangles put together. Students will create their dream home blue print, on graph/grid paper. Students then must calculate the area and the perimeter of each room. Students can decorate and elaborate each room to make their house inviting. Students must write a paragraph explaining details about their home as well.
