Place Value Strips, Color-coded & Stackable. Ones, Tens, Hundreds, and Thousands

These are great for teaching place value! I created them when my school implemented Singapore math, but they would be a helpful hands-on tool for any math program. I have included templates for the; ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands place. All you have to do is run the sheets off on colored construction paper or card stock, and then cut them out! My students keep their sets in ziplock bags in their math folders.

This is a fun activity I created for my class so students could see how expanded form is stack-able and be hands on! There is a sheet for each place value (ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands). Print each place value on a different colored paper. I gave each students in my class a whole set of ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands. Then, I orally called out the number and they had to create it, by stacking the place values on top of each other. We then went over the expanded form of that nu
