Geotown Project - geometry & map skills with distance learning option

The "Geotown" project encourages students to use their knowledge of 1-D and 2-D figures to create a map of a fictional town. I assign the project after we've covered our G.1.1 standard, and they work independently on it until the due date. Upon completion of their map, I have them trade maps with a partner, and they use a rubric to check each other's map (giving them more practice identifying 1-D and 2-D figures!). DISTANCE LEARNING OPTION: This year I assigned this project through our dist
