Students will decompose a number 11-19 into tens and ones, then demonstrate it as an equation. This is a quick formative assessment I used with Kindergarteners in Term 3. I used this to determine who was able to show a decomposed number AND write it as an equation. It provided great data for one-on-one follow up questions. This is a Tier 1 assessment, then I follow up with Tier 2, hands-on instruction as needed. This could easily be used in small groups with manipulatives.

More of the numbers go missing after each sheet to increase difficulty. The 2nd half of the sheets have various place values missing so that your student can practice counting even higher and with less assistance. I'm open to suggestions on how I can improve this listing. If you appreciate my work leave a review and ti
