Fun with shapes and playdoh
This is a fun activity to do with small children.
With the playdoh, they have to make the shape and place it inside the shape. This promotes and increases fine motor skills and manipulation.
If you feel the playdoh is too easy or simply want to change the activity, allow the child to make a shape within the lines of the shape, without any deviation.
This activity also promotes visual motor integration, which in the long run helps with their handwriting skills.

Fine Motor Skills Kit
I put together a fine motor skills kit to improve fine motor skills in my students who were struggling. All materials for the kits were purchased at the dollar store and put into individual bags with directions. All you need to do is print, laminate and assemble bags using your own materials.
